The movie 'Brave'

Hello~Viewers?
Today I will post about a response essay of the movie 'BRAVE'

Do you like watching movies? I love to! So I go to the theaters every week with my family or friends. A few months ago I saw the movie 'Brave', which is an animation made by Disney Pixar Studios. I watched it with my brother and cousins. When I was watching the movie, first I thought (because the main character is a princess) it would be a boring fairy tale story for little kids. But it wasn't. It was so fun and had a lot of fun adventures. I loved it and and even cried in touching parts! In GLPS camp we watched it last Friday to write a response essay about this movie. Even though it was my second time watching it I enjoyed it a lot!
Merida is a princess who wants to have a free life. She doesn't like to act like a loyal princess so she refuses all the things the queen says. So there is trouble between Merida and her mom. Merida has to marry with a prince from another country but she refuses. Then Merida runs away to the forbidden forest and buys a magic tart from a witch that will change the queens mind. The queen ate it and she turns into a bear! The king loves to kill bears, so they run away. Merida regrets and says sorry to her mom. While they stay together they get to understand each other. Merida sews the rug she ripped and cries. Magically her mom comes back to a person. Merida doesn't have to marry, and it ends very happily ever after.

I think 'Brave' is a very well made, touching story of a mom and a daughter starting to understand each other. In the movie, Merida and mom bumps into every single problem. When I was looking at those parts those it looked just like my mother and me. I was so sorry to my mom that I didn't understand her like Merida. Merida's mother loved her daughter. She understood Merida, but she wanted her daughter to be perfect and lovely. All mothers like to tell their child what to do because they want them to be the best all times. Most kids don't like the way moms telling you what to do all the time. Merida and the queen shows fights like most daughters and moms do. So it hurt my feelings getting to know a little bit of what my mom felt because the queen resembled her. It would have been better if Merida thought about her mom before she complained and at least follow some things her mom says if she wanted free time.

Secondly, in the story Merida makes her mom become a bear by wanting her to change her mind. I thought believing to a witch you just met and buying a strange tart from her was such a bad thought to do. I don't understand why she wanted to give her mom a tart that could make anything happen. I will never give my mom such a thing like that. When I grow up I want to travel with my mom, want to have time getting to know her and become very friendly about one another.
Lastly the movie ends when Merida says sorry. The magic works while Merida cries. I cried in that part because I thought the queen will be a bear for all her life. It felt like my mom becomes a bear and I couldn't see her again.
In conclusion I want to behave to my mom and try to understand her. I am so glad I have my parents and my brother to love just like Merida.( Even though Merida has three twin brothers^^ ) In every times I want to look at bright sides even if I don't like that. I will try to enjoy myself too! If you have time and want to see a fun adventures animation from Disney how about trying out 'BRAVE'?
